2012 Vermont Maple Open House Weekend

March 24, 2012- March 25, 2012

The Eleventh Annual Vermont Maple Open House Weekend will be held at sugarhouses throughout Vermont, March 24-25, 2012. The Open House Weekend is the public celebration of the maple syrup season in Vermont and an opportunity for the public to visit one or more "sugarhouses" throughout the state. Activities during Open House Weekend will be different at each sugarhouse but will include the opportunity to watch maple syrup being made (weather permitting) and often sample maple products.

 2012 Vermont Maple Festival

April 27-29  St. Albans Vermont

Join us for the 46th annual Vermont Maple Festival!  During the festival, visitors flock to downtown St. Albans for maple treats, education fun at the celebration of the end of maple sugaring season. Much of the event is without cost and handicapped accessible.  Attractions include the Maple Exhibit hall, Main Street Entertainment Stage. Craft Show & Sales, Specialty Foods, Youth Talent Show, Antique Show & Sales, Fidler's Variety Show, Carnival, Sugarhouse Tours, Pancake Breakfasts, Sap Run Road Race, Cooking Demonstrations, Face Painting for the children, Maple Creemees, Maple Donuts & Confections and a GIANT parade.   For more information or to enter maple products for competition:  www.vermontmaplefestival.org

Sugarmakers are welcome to come join the VMSMA at the Vermont building during the Eastern States Exposition September 14th-30th 2012.  We welcome help making maple confections & retailing.  A daily stipend and lodging provided.  Come join the fun!
